What Solin sees
Settings → Your data → What Solin sees says, in plain words, what is sent to the AI, what Anthropic does with it, what Solin keeps, when AI runs without you asking, and what you can switch off.
What’s new
This page. Every change that reaches you will be listed here, with the day it shipped.
Privacy Policy 2.3 and Terms 2.2
Clearer wording on what is sent to the AI (and that no account ID goes with it), what Anthropic keeps, what Solin keeps, what deleting your account removes, and how long a few things are held. Effective today.
Live Ink reads bare hours
“At 7” now applies as you type, and the am/pm Solin assumed shows as a quiet note you can correct. “Dinner at 7” reads as 19:00.
Delete your account in Settings
Settings → Account → Delete account, on the web and in the iPhone app. It removes your data in one step, cancels a web subscription, and emails you a confirmation.
Sign-in is by invitation for now
While Solin is still being built, only invited email addresses can sign up or sign in, on the web and in the iPhone app.
Words you were typing survive a reload
The add bar and the editors keep what you had written if the page reloads, and ask before you leave with unsaved words.
Live Ink reads more of how you write times
“From 9am to 10am” and “dinner 6 to 8” become a start time and a length. “The 15th”, “Oct 3”, “in 3 weeks”, “noon”, “half past 3pm”, “5 p.m.” and “9a” are read too. A time it can’t make sense of is flagged instead of guessed.
Ahead opens the month as a grid
Month shows the days as a grid with category-coloured dots and today chosen, and the day’s tasks underneath. The list is one quiet toggle away.
Anonymous usage counts are opt-in
Nothing is counted until you turn on “Share anonymous usage” in Settings → Your data. Session replay is gone.
Old signals clear themselves
The usage signals Solin learns from are removed after 12 months, and anonymous Ask Solin chats after 90 days.
Settings is one card, one level at a time
Each section opens in the same card under a Settings back arrow. Calendars, your plan, keyboard shortcuts and Getting started are pages of it, and going back puts you on the row you came from.
Tasks, habits and routines edit in the same card
The task, habit and routine editors share one shape: a back arrow, a ⋯ menu, and Save and Cancel only while you have changes.
One tap to resolve an overlap
When two things overlap, the line says so and offers to move one to the first free time.
The side column is on every main page
Inbox, Habits, Routines, Done, Ahead, Open and Later now carry the same column of what is coming up, with the numbers linking to the page behind them.
Your name
Settings → Account has your name now, and the welcome step asks for it, optionally.
Dictate into the add bar
The microphone button turns speech into text in the add bar, using your browser’s own speech service. Solin never receives the audio.
Solin in Québec French
Choose Français (Canada) in Settings → Language. Live Ink reads French dates and times too.
Numbers and lists update on every device without a reload
A change on your phone shows on your laptop as it happens, including the counts and totals. Live sync is free for everyone.
Calendars are checked every two minutes while you’re here
Changes to a connected calendar show up within a couple of minutes while you are using Solin, instead of waiting a quarter of an hour.
Flexible routines
A routine can be “30 minutes, three times a week, in the mornings” instead of a fixed time. Solin suggests a slot and one tap locks it in.
Busy time
A long commitment can be marked as busy: it sits quietly on the Spine, counts as unavailable time rather than a task, and is never overdue.
A short tour, once
A four-step tour of Today appears the first time you arrive, and again from Help whenever you like.
A block can be done only once it has ended
A timed block can’t be marked done before its end time, so Done reflects what happened.
One way back
Every room and sheet is one level: the back arrow, Escape and your browser’s Back each go back one.
The redesigned Solin is the default
Today is a list you read top to bottom, with the timeline one toggle away, and the colours follow the daylight: dawn, day, dusk and ember.
Two kinds of nudge, and no more
Solin checks in when a timed task ends and isn’t done. If you choose, it also says once a day when today is more than you realistically fit. Never at night, at most one an hour. Settings → Notices → Nudges sets which, or turns them off.
Insights read a week, a month or a quarter
The page says the range back in a sentence, then shows the numbers, each labelled with the dates it covers.
Select several at once
On Open, Later and the other lists you can pick several tasks to complete, reopen, move or delete, with one undo. On a phone, long-press to start.
Old tasks you clear are not counted as done
A task finished or removed more than a week after its day is “cleared from backlog”: it stays out of your done counts, hours and patterns, and has its own quiet line and group.
